New FC Platinum coach Rahman Gumbo heads for Hwange on Saturday as he seeks his second win in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League after beating Highlanders 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Mandava Stadium.

Second-placed FC Platinum dispatched Bosso with goals from reigning 2011 Soccer Star of the Year Charles Sibanda and Donald Ngoma.

The platinum miners will leap to the top of the log standings if they win and champions Motor Action lose or draw to Kiglon Bird at Gwanzura Stadium.

It would be the first time that FC Platinum goes to the top of the table and a plus for new coach Gumbo, who joined the club on June 1 from Botswana.

However, it would not be an easy feat for Gumbo as the Tennant Chilumba-coached coal-miners are fresh from holding the Mighty Bulls to a goalless draw at Motor Action Stadium on Wednesday.

Chicken Inn hope to be the first team to beat Masvingo United at home at Mucheke Stadium when the two teams meet on Saturday afternoon The GameCox beat Kiglon 3-1 at Luveve Stadium on Wednesday as Masvingo were thumped 4-1 by Caps United at the National Sports Stadium.

Shabanie Mine, who held Zimbabwe Saints to a goalless draw at Luveve Stadium in a midweek clash, entertain log anchors Shooting Stars at Maglas Stadium.
