John Mushayavanhu has been appointed group chief executive officer of FBC Holdings in a restructuring exercise at the group following the retirement of Livingstone Gwata at the end of last month.
Gwata worked at the bank since inception in 1998. Mushayavanhu who is the president of the Bankers’ Association of Zimbabwe was the managing director for FBC Bank since 2004 before his elevation.
Trynos Kufazvinei will deputise him. Kufazvinei has held various positions in the group including that of head of finance and administration, finance director and group finance director.
Webster Rusere was appointed managing director of FBC Bank Limited taking over from Mushayavhanu.
Felix Gwandekwande was elevated to managing director of FBC Building Society.
He joined the bank in 1998 and has risen through the ranks to being head of bank’s retail operations over the years.
Canada Malunga is now the non-executive director of FBC Holdings Limited. Malunga joins the bank with his chartered accountant training from various sectors in the country.
Kenzias Chibota is now the chairman of Eagle Insurance Company Zimbabwe Limited following the recent acquisition of a 72% stake in the primary insurer by FBC Holdings Limited.

Benjamin Kumalo has been appointed chairman of FBC Buildings Society after serving as director for the board for more than five years.
David Birch was appointed chairman of FBC Reinsurance Limited with effect from February 2011.
