Maintouch Roofing Solutions says it is encouraged by positive developments in the construction sector and economy at large and hopes to expand its footprint on the local market.

The Bulawayo-based company is currently negotiating with a leading local bank to have its products sold through home improvement loans.

Company director Philani Gama said the business environment was becoming conducive for the construction sector.

“The introduction of the multi-currency system has brought stability within the business community,” said Gama.

“We have noticed that a lot of individuals and companies are building, including people in the Diaspora. Due to that, we are looking forward to much better business.”

Gama expressed confidence at the business prospects likely to be brought about by this year’s Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) to be held this month.

“We are really looking forward to this year’s ZITF and we are optimistic that after the fair, we will boost our sales as well as our clientele base,” he said. The company offers credit facility terms for its customers.

“We are aware that the economy is still recovering and there are individuals and companies that are building and as such we have come with flexible payment models.

“Just for a start, we have been giving a 60-day payment facility with the hope of offering longer payment periods as the economy improves,” he said.

Gama said plans were at an advanced stage to open a second branch in Harare.

Maintouch Roofing Solutions have been involved in construction projects countrywide, in conjunction with various government ministries.

The projects include Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo College in Gwanda and Mutare Teachers’ College. It has supplied tiles for the Bulawayo Caravan Park and the Maldon Village in Kumalo suburb.

The well-established entity has been in existence for more than 10 years within the service and product community of registered companies, with a footing and values that are invaluable.

Gama said the company’s objective was to provide service and products of world-class standard, beating both competitor abilities and client expectations.

“We have established good relations with a number of well-known companies in the service and product community,” said Gama.

“Our roofing is suitable for residential, light commercial and institutional roofing.”

The tiles come in a variety of colours, durable yet light in weight, are easy to install and come with a 30-year guarantee.
