Popular theatre comedian, Tawanda Masarira popularly known as “Kahembe” recently released his debut compilation of comedy vignettes titled Bag Remhosva, a fun-filled compilation which is a must-watch for local comedy lovers.

Bag Remhosva is a compilation of comedy vignettes that comes in chapters of various humorous and exciting acts in which Kahembe explores his talent to the fullest, which is bound to leave any audience with as sense of humour in stitches.

The compilation explores the bad habits in the lives of various people, little transgressions that remain wrong but which a lot of people have learnt to live with and bad mannerisms within the younger generations.

“I love to make people laugh through my comedy but inside those laughing moments are various lessons to be learnt by people of all ages,” said Masarira.

He said his comedy was an educational compilation that touched all aspects of people’s day-to-day lives especially the bad habits that had become normal to many families like lack of respect for elders and habitual lying.

Masarira said the compilation had an important lesson for the youths concerning respect for elders and humbling themselves whenever they were rebuked by their elders.

“I want the youths to know that the mother they see next door should be respected as much as they respect their own,” he said.

He said his career began in 2002 in Budiriro at a time when he had nothing to do thus he decided to engage in theatre after watching the popular comedian and singer Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima who up to this day is his biggest inspiration.

Masarira said he had eight group members and together they were called Tambanaye Arts.

“We have big plans for the local audiences as we will be visiting various places around the country although we are currently focusing on publicising our latest production,” he said.

He said he had tremendous respect for people’s talents and he had used his theatre to educate others thus he encouraged parents to give their children an opportunity to show off their talents.
