President Robert Mugabe is expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni at Kololo Independence Ground in Kampala tomorrow.
Other leaders scheduled to attend the ceremony include Presidents Mwai Kibaki of Kenya, Jakaya Kikwete (Tanzania) and Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria, among the 13 invited heads of state. Kenya’s former president Daniel arap Moi has also been invited. Museveni won the February 18 presidential elections with 68% of the eight million votes cast.
