HARARE Club Amnesia

Friday night there will be a “Grown and Sexy” party featuring DJs Dee Nosh and L Roy (D&L).

Saturday, the club presents a “Saturday Amnesia Ragga/Soul Nite” party which will be hosted by the Judgement Yard-Legendary Sounds.

DJ Smilie will be supported by DJs Dee Vine and Storm on the decks. The action will continue on Monday as Judgement Yard-Legendary Sounds will host a “hot Monday” (Independence Day Special) called MaRasta Kuti Zvityise with hosts Youngsen, Badman Bee, Mic Inity and Smilie. The night will be a ragga explosion. The club is located at Strathaven shopping centre.

Portugal Restaurant (Pensao)

For a “Party-crazy Friday”, check out the Pensao along Samora Machel Avenue (corner Eighth Street). DJs Slow & Flak will be spinning the discs, playing a versatile mix in the garden all night long. Be a part of it!

Megga 1 (Pamahuswa)

New Generation dance group will take to the stage Friday night at one of Harare’s largest open-air joints. Saturday, there will be a battle between Biggie Tembo junior and Simba Chibadura plus a host of other budding musicians.

On Sunday, there will be a family show with Too Open Jazz band supported by Tee Connection while there will be an Independence Eve show with various artists performing. On Monday, Independence Day, Malaika dance group will keep revellers entertained.

West End

West End Club in Kambuzuma 3 will on Friday night host sungura musician, Progress Chipfumo from 8pm. The musician will be on stage throughout the night and the following day the same venue will host New Classic Dance group.

9 to 9 Restaurant

The restaurant which is located in Highlands will present the ultimate launch of a new Zimbabwean Clothing Label named Slick Swag on Saturday evening. The clothing label has taken the industry by storm and is gaining popularity at a rapid pace among youths.

Kebab Centre

This weekend, Kebab will be exploding with DJs Mossty, Tosh, Smashy and Weekay playing all music genres. DJs Adrian and D Clive will be special guests and there will be lots of drink specials and prizes to be won.

Stars Studio

Stars Studio which had been closed since last year will re-open its doors to the public on Saturday evening. DJs Dean, Robbie Tee, Dee Nosh and L Roy will take turns to sample the new decks. The dress code is strictly smart casual and those who will be wearing sneakers, shorts and caps will not be allowed in.

Fusion Café Bar/ Café Noir

Friday night, Fusion Café Bar which is located at the Borrowdale Racecourse will host a Friday Fusion with DJs T-Bass and P Styles backed by NR Ent. The same crew will present High Society Saturdays at the Café Noir which is located at the Helensvale shopping centre.

Milton Park Bowling Club

Urban Ent will this weekend present defined backtracking old skool music. Harare’s finest DJs Limoluv and Knally will be on the decks.

Liquid Lounge DJ Robee Tee will Friday night present a Friday Xperience where he will be playing Old Skool jams. Saturday, the old skool classics continue.

East 24

Huggiez Entertainment will this weekend present old skool music with resident DJ Kudzi Marudza.

BULAWAYO

Queens Sports Club

South African disco songstress, Patricia Majalisa will perform at Queens Sports Club Saturday night. She will also feature the late Lucky Dube’s backing vocalist, Phumi Maduna who has since gone solo. Thabile Mazolwane of I’sponono Sami fame will also perform at the show.

Tshabalala Youth Centre

The centre hosts a unique pageant called Miss Amalungelo (Miss Human Rights). Entertainment will be provided by Sean T, a Kwaito artist, Amazing Stars dance group, Ilangelitsha Arts group as well as various pantsula dance groups from the high density suburbs.

Sports Riverdance (Gwanda)

The club hosts the Balloon Party on Saturday evening starting at 8 pm. DJs that will host the show are Heavy D, Ashley and Gabbs.

The Uhuru Gala (Gweru)

If you are in the midlands province or intend travelling there next Thursday, join others for Independence celebrations at Ascort Stadium in a show dubbed “The Uhuru Gala”. A number of musicians drawn from around the country will perform. Entrance is free. It kicks off at 2pm and ends very late.

Jabula Inn (Esigodini)

It is a dance fiesta this weekend at the popular spot. Friday night watch Kaisa dance group on stage. On Saturday evening, starting at 8pm, catch Sibanye dance group.
