United States-based gospel singer and songwriter Comfort Manyame recently released his latest offering Dururai, a highly spiritual combination of praise and worship tracks.

Dururai, has tracks that include Come Let Us Go, Draw Me Near and Watching Over You to mention a few.

“I established my musical roots at the early age of seven when I was elected captain of the marimba band at Chinembiri Primary School in Chitungwiza and later at Takunda Primary School in Gweru,” said Manyame.

He said he started leading in worship at scripture union at Ellis Robins Boys’ High School and later at the University of Zimbabwe where he was music director for the AFM on-campus group.

Manyame said he ended up settling in Texas where he works as a geographic information systems professional after studying there under a scholarship.

“The last few years have seen me juggling my professional career, worship leading and songwriting for my local church in Texas,” he said.

He said that his songs were currently being sung at his church, College Heights Assembly of God, Bryan, Texas and other churches in Texas during their worship services.

Manyame said he had maintained strong ties with the land of his birth as evidenced by the release of Dururai which contains a blend of Shona and English songs which were produced in Africa.
