Kings rule the roost

Kings Basketball Club continued with their fine form in the Bulawayo Basketball League (BBA) when they beat Abundant Life Christian Centre (ALCC) 63-51 at the Bulawayo Club for the Disabled on Saturday.

Three games had to be postponed to Friday after the hoop was damaged.

Sebastian Ndlovu and Pride Gumbo scored 24 and 10 points respectively for Giants. Their team-mates Garikai Gumbo and Garth Hussey got eight points each.

Moses Tigere scored 10 points for ALCC while the highest scorer for the team was Brandon Gonyora who got 17 points.

In another match, ZB Titans continued to struggle as they succumbed to a massive 62-9 defeat to Stars. Mthokozisi Sithole got 17 points while King Mnkandla scored 16 points.

The match between Giants and Oilers ended prematurely after the hoop was damaged in the first quarter of the match.

BBA spokesperson Charles Ndlovu said the match ended after Mpumelelo Hlabangana slam-dunked and damaged the hoop.
