Look and feel beautiful: Home remedies

I know many of you tried last week’s home treatments using the various natural ingredients for a perfect look.

Others were skeptical, meaning that they just read the article without trying the methods.

Honestly, how can we expect anything to work if we do not give it a chance?

I urge you to give it a try and see how you look within minutes. For some it may take a while, depending on your skin type.

This is simple, yet profound advice on how to look, feel and think yourself healthy, wealthy, wise and beautiful.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Be it the inner or the outer beauty, we are aware of this on some level of our knowing.

Physically we see it, emotionally we feel it and mentally we think about it.

There are many who take beauty at face value and that is all they look for. Some are born beautiful, but most have to work at it.

Beauty tips from around the world

Brazil has some of the most beautiful women in the world. They rub handfuls of sand on their bodies because it smoothes and stimulates the skin and helps eliminate cellulite.

China’s anti-ageing secret is white tea. The silver tip of the green tea plant houses quantities of the antioxidants needed to fend off skin ageing. It acts as an environmental shield that free radicals cannot penetrate.

India is also known for beautiful women who use coconut oil for their full, thick, shiny hair. You too can do a hot oil scalp massage once a week. Just heat some oil in a bowl, sleep with it in your hair and wash it out in the morning. It will help seal the cuticles and get rid of those split ends.

Japan’s women have smooth, flawless skins and their secret is white camellia nut oil. This oil moisturises conditions, nourishes and softens the skin and gives it a wonderful texture and glow. It can also be used by pregnant women to combat stretch marks.

Scandinavian women drink at least one litre of pure spring water daily and splash their faces with ice-cold spring mineral water 15 to 20 times twice a day, to encourage their skin’s natural functions — the ice cold water also helps reduce puffiness.

In last week’s article I included the Yoghurt mask for ashy skin. Yoghurt is an important rejuvenating health and beauty food.

It not only helps restore the bacterial balance in the intestines and combats intestinal putrefaction but it also promotes the growth of friendly bacteria. It is best to use natural plain yoghurt that has no fruit or other substances added.

Lemon Juice — A great way to help clean the liver is to have a glass of hot water with lemon juice first thing in the morning.

This helps clean the liver of impurities so it can carry out its functions of cleaning the blood.

Lemon juice is a nice way to help whiten and tighten the skin and is great to use as a salad dressing.

Many redheads, for example Nicole Kidman, Marcia Cross, rinse their fiery red hair with cranberry juice.
Olive oil helps Julia Roberts keep her nails in top condition.

Catherine Zeta-Jones super glamorous and the epitome of Hollywood royalty.

Catherine reveals that she enhances her pearly-white teeth by brushing with strawberries.

She also swears by honey as a pure skin treatment to enhance her flawless complexion.
