New Year parties on in Mutare

Ruffcuts Entertainment together with Mutare citizens will say goodbye to the year 2010 with two consecutive parties which have already started in preparation for the year 2011.

The first one took place yesterday at the Sports Cafe and the final one is set for tonight at Chapter One restaurant and nightclub.

The first show which took place yesterday at the Sports Cafe was dubbed “The Welcome Party for DJs” which was an appreciation bash for those DJs set to rock the city on New Year’s eve until the break of dawn.

“We have made the 30th a day for the welcome party so as to appreciate the various artistes and DJs who will join us from the Southern Region and other Zimbabwean DJs who have been playing outside the country,” Ruffcuts chief executive officer, Marco Machona said.

Machona said some of the regional artistes who were part of bashes include popular South Africa-based Buffalo Souljah, Dee Nice, Lennox, Dexter and Noxx.

He said leading Mutare-based DJ’s would also perform and these included Fresh, daddy k, Teddy and Styles.

“The two New Year’s bashes will be part of our current country tour and it will be our second time to host such events although we are also promising something bigger soon,” he said.

Machona said although the main performer for the final bash at Chapter 1 would be Buffalo Souljah, the shows would also be graced by Zimbabwe’s finest performers.

He said because a lot of the finest DJs and artistes would be performing, upcoming artistes were also welcome to showcase their talent.

“I am certain that we will unearth a lot of new talent that will rise to heights just as we have produced some of Zimbabwe’s finest musicians like Patience Musa, Willom Tight, Mischief, Mateo and Ground 24,” said Machona.

Ruffcutts was formed a couple of years ago as an entertainment brand, but it has since established a clothing brand that seems to have taken fashion lovers by storm.
