Brenna Msiska should be thanking his lucky stars after surviving a car accident with minor injuries on Christmas Day in Mutare.
The festive season has been plagued by road accidents and the former Caps United goal minder, affectionately referred to as “Baba Gari”, could have been one of the victims.
In an interview with NewsDay from his base in Mutare on Wednesday, the former Warriors goalkeepers’ coach said: “I was involved in an accident on Christmas Day after my car collided with another at the Sakubva roundabout here in Mutare.
“I was driving alone on my way home when the other car encroached onto my lane resulting in the accident. However I’m now recovering well but I still have four stitches on my forehead.
“Hopefully I will be well soon and I thank God that I managed to escape with minor injuries.”
The former coach of the now defunct Eastern Lions has been in the national team set-up as goalkeepers’ coach.
Last year he was recalled to the national team during Sunday “Mhofu” Chidzambwa’s second stint as Warriors coach and continued when Norman Mapeza took over as the caretaker coach.
