South Africa’s leading disc jockey, Dj Waxxy, has signed a contract with Delta Beverages and will be coming to Zimbabwe for the “Bohlingers Tight Party with a Star” which will be held in Harare on Saturday evening at the Stars Studio.
Generations actors, Senzo, Ajax, Sbu and Kelly have also confirmed their trip to Zimbabwe and will be coming with DJ Waxxy to attend the Delta party.
They will also meet their fans in Harare. Local DJs L-Roy, Storm and Chuckie will be on the decks.
Initially the gig was meant to be held on December 24 but it has been moved to this Saturday.
Meanwhile, Delta has also planned a similar event for Bulawayo where South Africa’s award-winning musicians, Winnie Khumalo, Oskido, Professor, Alaska and Brown Dash are billed to perform at the Queens Sports Stadium at an end-of -year gig. The event has been dubbed “Hoza 2011”.
Top Rhythm City actors Stone, Tsidi and Mono T will grace the Bulawayo event where they will mix and mingle with their Zimbabwean fans.
South African-based Zimbabwean musician, Apple Seed, is set to return home to perform at the Bulawayo gig.
DJs Mungane, Mavy, Gunz, T1 and Slammer will be on the decks, while Ezra “Tshisa” Sibanda and Babongile Sikhonjwa will be the masters of ceremony.
The party is expected to kick off in the afternoon and end on January 1.
The Bulawayo “Bohlingers Party with a Star” event has been postponed and replaced with the “Hoza 2011” gig.
Initially, the event was meant to be held this weekend at Brass Monkey but Delta decided to spoil their Bohlingers lager drinkers by hosting a bigger event.
Patricia Murambinda, Delta Beverages marketing manager, said they had decided to postpone the event so as to make it bigger and show customers their appreciation.
“Our Bohlingers customers are those who want to be associated with celebrities so we decided to treat them by bringing in their favourite celebrities from Mzansi so they can party with them,” said Murambinda.
