Members of leading South African soap opera Generations cast are expected jet into the country on December 20 ahead of a show at Stars Studio.
Sharon (Kagiso Rakosa), Kelly, Ajax (Sipho Ngwenya) and Senzo (Thami Ngqolo) will be hosted by Delta Beverages at the show, dubbed “Bohlingers Lager Tight Party with a Star”. The first party will be held on Saturday at the Brass Monkey in Bulawayo, followed by the Harare gig on December 4.
Delta Beverages marketing manager, Patricia Murambinda, said the “Lager Tight Party” was in its third year but this year’s edition was expected to be bigger and better as compared to the previous years.
“This year, we want our edition of the ‘Bohlingers Tight Party’ to grow bigger as the Bohlingers brand is growing and our customers are on the rise,” said Murambinda.
She added that the parties were mainly for the sunshine crowd who are the energetic young stock and the young at heart who love partying.
“Christmas is a time for celebrating so we are going to celebrate with our loyal customers by hosting these gigs for them and bringing celebrities they like as a way of showing them our appreciation,” said Murambinda.
She said they were still finalising the contracts with both the local and South African DJs but it was likely that South African based Nigerian DJ Waxxy would be coming to Zimbabwe with the Generations crew.
The Generations actors’ contracts have been finalised and they will be coming through.
This will be most of the actors’ first time to attend a function in Harare and those who will attend the party will be given a platform to meet and interact with the television stars.
Ajax came to Zimbabwe in October where he attended a function and performed at the Golden Mile Motel in Kwekwe.
