Mushrooming of churches or mushrooming satanism?

-

In this age we are witnessing the coming on board of new churches across the entire world. Has this resulted in the Gospel of Christ being readily available and salvation of souls at the doorstep?

In some instances both the believer and non-believer, has been left clueless as to which church to belong to. In this instalment I shall look at what the Bible says concerning this age.

We are living in the last of the last days and in Romans 13:11-12 (KJV) the Bible says, “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.”

We are indeed living in an age that was prophesied and we need to take heed of the warnings of the Bible in order to sail through when the Lord’s Day comes. Jesus tells us that the harvest is plenteous but the labourers are few and that we should ask the Lord of the harvest to send more labourers.

The devil is an imitator and he is also busy recruiting labourers for his side and the Scripture we quoted warns us to stay awake.

Since the days of John the Baptist, the Kingdom of God has been advancing in force and the devil has been putting strategies in place to also advance his kingdom.

The question which we need to explore is: is the sprouting of churches good?

Let us first look at what is happening in the nation of Israel. The events that take place in Israel have a bearing on the intent of God in the world.

God chose Israel as His prized possession and as a model of what He would do to any person, Jew or Gentile, who would believe in Him.

Israel is establishing more settlements in the disputed Gaza strip and there is conflict with Palestine who is rejecting this.

I hold no political opinion with regards to the Middle East crisis but scripturally it points to God advancing His Kingdom.

So when we see churches coming up to take control, it should point to God taking control. However the challenge is that false institutions and groupings calling themselves churches have also risen up.

The Bible predicted that many false prophets would rise up and many demonic miracles would be manifested.

God is performing miracles, signs and wonders. Jesus said that those that believe shall be followed by these.

The devil has come up with fake miracles and many are following them. Miracles should follow believers not believers following miracles.

You need to be careful in this age because the devil is performing wonders. He did it during the time of Moses.

When Aaron threw his staff to the ground as commanded by God, it turned to a snake.

The devil represented by Pharaoh and his magicians also came up with their snakes; however God prevailed and Aaron’s snake ate up Pharaoh’s snakes. God’s miracles are sustainable and will last.

The devil wants to harvest from the same field that God intends to get His souls from. God created us as free moral agents and we have the freedom to follow Him if we want or to follow the devil if we so wish.

God is not a dictator and will not force us to accept Him. While churches are being built, bars, nightclubs and brothels are also being built.

I have noticed that the devil has become so cunning that he is now doing his recruitment publicly. He now holds crusades, open-air mass evangelism, one-on-one engagement in the streets and door-to-door canvassing.

While the coming up of many churches has helped to bring the Gospel of Christ nearer us, Satanism has also expanded and intensified.

God wants to save your soul and the devil wants to mess up your soul. We need to be wary.

The Bible warns us in 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (KJV), “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”

Whichever church you choose between those that have always been there and those coming on board, make sure you prove all things with the Bible.

The true church of the Living God should read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and use it as a standard.

There are both small and big satanic “churches”.

While the true church of God is filled with miracles, signs and wonders, Satan performs magic and can heal the sick.

He causes sickness and he can take it back. Read the Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you.
