The parents of four-month-old Vimbainaishe Maposa who was born with a growth on her head are seeking financial assistance to enable her to undergo a life-saving operation.
According to doctors at Parirenyatwa Hospital, the operation would cost $5 000 and needs to be done as a matter of urgency before her condition deteriorates irreversibly.
The baby’s mother Loice Maphosa said the growth caused her a lot of pain.
Vimbainashe’s parents are subsistence farmers from Ganyungu in Gokwe South and, since the child was born four months ago, they have not been able to go back to the fields, running around looking for help from well-wishers.
“When we approached doctors at Parirenyatwa Hospital they said they could carry out the operation,” Vimbainashe’s father said.
Vimbainashe’s mother is appealing to the nation for help to get the child treated.
Anyone willing to assist the child can contact Reverend Samuel Toure on 0714048799.
