Kanye West set to bounce Susan Boyle from No. 1

Kanye West will likely end Susan Boyle’s two-week reign on the next US pop album chart, according to early prognostications from industry gurus.

West’s fifth studio album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, could sell perhaps 550 000 units by week’s end on November 28, pundits said.

Data will be published on Wednesday. Boyle’s The Gift leads the current chart with sales of 335 000 units in the week ended November 21.

Fantasy would mark West’s fourth consecutive album, following Late Registration (2005), Graduation (2007) and 808s & Heartbreak (2008).

The latter began with 450 000 and also was released over Thanksgiving week.

His 2004 debut The College Dropout, peaked at No. 2.

Also gunning for a big entrance next week is rookie rapper Nicki Minaj’s debut effort, Pink Friday, which is on target to begin with more than 400 000 copies.

R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo’s fourth studio album Libra Scale could launch with 125 000, while rock band My Chemical Romance’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys should start with 100 000 to 110 000.
