Five diamond bosses accused of fraud will on Wednesday return to the magistrates courts in Harare for routine remand.
Chief law officer Chris Mutangadura on Tuesday said the state would advise the court that it was ready to prosecute the accused.
“We will notify them tomorrow (Wednesday) that we are now ready to go for trial and on the day we will indict them,” said Mutangadura.
“Police have finished their investigations and we are now ready to prosecute.”
Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation chief executive officer Dominic Mubaiwa, John Tichaona Muhonde, Gloria Mawarire, Ashton Sibusiso Ndlovu and Mark Tsomondo were placed on $2 000 bail each.
They were ordered to surrender their passports, report daily at Harare CID minerals section, not to travel 40km outside the city centre without the authority of the investigating officer, to reside at their given addresses and not to interfere with the witnesses.
