Newsday.co.zw, Zimbabwe’s premier news website, has been experiencing technical problems due to an increase in traffic to the site. Currently, Newsday.co.zw receives approximately 60,000 unique visitors on a daily basis.
According to Alexa.com which provides information on traffic metrics, search analytics, and demographic for websites, visitors to Newsday.co.zw view an average of 2.6 unique pages per day and spend roughly six minutes per visit to the site and two minutes per pageview.
The site has attained a traffic rank of 8 among users in Zimbabwe, where an estimated 49% of its audience is located. South Africa and the United Kingdom provide most of the visitors to the site.
“We would like to apologise to our valued online readers for the delay in uploading new content. This is due to a technical problem that our developers are currently working flat out to solve,” said Masimba Biriwasha, Alphamedia’s Group Online Editor.
“We will rectify the hitch, and we are confident Newsday.co.zw will become a more efficient, easy to access, worldclass website.”
