Top South African television actor, rapper and music producer Psyfo, is expected to set Kwekwe’s King Solomon’s Nightclub alight on Saturday night. when he performs at the inaugural Miss Golden Mile beauty pageant.
Psyfo, real name Sipho Ngwenya, who plays Ajax Khoza in popular TV soap Generations, will be supported by local urban groover Goodchild.
One of the show promoters, Prince Dambanevana, said based on the support they have received in the build-up to the show, revellers there should brace for a scintillating show.
“Everything is in place now and we are ready for the show.
We have received tremendous support from the Kwekwe community in the run-up to this pageant so we are expecting a great event,” said Dambanevana.
Twenty beauty queens will strut their stuff on the ramp for the maiden Miss Golden Mile crown.
The hotel’s King Solomon Nightclub has recently developed a trend of hosting top South African musicians.
Early this month, DJ Bilblos performed there while DJ Cindo has also wowed kwaito lovers at the popular joint.
Psyfo was in July denied entry into the country by immigration authorities and was subsequently deported soon after arrival at the Harare International Airport because he did not have a work permit.
Dambanevana however assured fans that there would not be that kind of embarrassment as their house was in order.
“We have sorted out his (Psyfo) work permit so we are covered there.
“There will be no disappointments, the guy will be safe in town,” he said.
Golden Mile Hotel’s emergent love affair with South African musicians will see the hosting of DJ Tira at the end of next month.
