Dizzy Don sets hip-hop scene on fire

-

A new kid on the hip-hop block, Donald ‘Dizzy Don’ Maposa has released two smashing videos of his hit songs Freshly Ground and Mirira Dzega from his latest album, The Fikizolo.

Maposa, who is new in the country’s hip-hop music industry, is setting the hip-hop scene on fire with his charisma and willpower.

“The tracks I have decided to make my first videos are all introductory, they tell people who this new kid on the block is,” he said.

Dizzy Don said when urban grooves got really popular he was left out because he was concentrating on other things, so his stage name, Fikizolo, meant he was a late comer.

He said he would do whatever it took to provide for himself the best marketing strategies to win over many fans, so he has embarked on free distribution campaign of his new album.

Dizzy Don, who said he was an industrial sociology graduate, decided to quit his job as a human resources manager for a beverage manufacturer so that he could launch his full-time music career, something he says he was born to do.

“My debut album is definitely not for sale and so far I have given out over 450 copies because people need to know me first before paying for music they don’t know,” he said.

His album, he said, also bore the fingerprints of some of Zimbabwe’s finest producers Shayzar (of Mix Masterz), Showtime Records’ Tags and Take 5ive from Dat Squad Studios, where most of the recording was done.

Dizzy Don said he wanted to go far with his music, which was why he had roped in popular artistes including Adiona, Sims27, MC Chita, Tricky T and J Boss.
