Minister of Finance Tendai Biti has decided, perhaps correctly so, to put a Herald columnist, Nathaniel Manheru, in his assumed place.
It’s still debatable who Manheru is, but according to the Zimbabwe Independent, it is probably the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Media, Information and Publicity, George Charamba.
He also happens to be the spokesperson of President Robert Mugabe. And I think Biti is probably aware of this hence his decision to get involved in what one can only describe as a public spat with Manheru.
