Reps Theatre will Friday host one of the capital’s leading singers Josh Ansley who started performing in 2005 in the boy band Blockbusters.
“He was founder member of 5Star, Zimbabwe’s first boy band which started in mid-2005 and he has become very popular with his talent in singing,” said Reps chairman of marketing and publicity Stan Higgins.
He said Ansley was now a solo singer who was out to show his talent in full and was aiming to eventually create his own rock band. Despite having an interesting line-up of performances at Reps since January, starting tomorrow are classes with children aged between 6 and 12 years who are interested in acting or public speaking.
“Continuing every Saturday after this one, throughout the school term children will be taught the basics of acting, stage craft and the fundamentals involved in public speaking,” said Higgins.
He said that lessons would be conducted by a professional children’s educator Katie Cooper.
“It will also allow children the opportunity of being involved with various Reps productions,” he said.
