Liberia ups preps for Warriors

Liberia intensified their preparations for Sunday’s 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Warriors with 10 of their foreign-based players joining camp Tuesday.

Liberia Football Association press officer Henry Flomo told Liberiansoccer.com that defenders George Baysah of Hapoel Kfar Saba in Israel, Alex Karmo of Kenyan top side Stima FC, Gizzie Dorbor of Irony BatYam of Israel and Jimmy Dixon of Manisaspor in Turkey had arrived by Tuesday.

“Midfielders Dulee Johnson of Aik Solna of Sweden, Theo Weeks of Ankanragucu of Turkey, Patrick Doeplah (Free Agent in Budapest) and David Ghemie, a free agent, new captain and forward Anthony Snoti Laffor of Super Sport United of South Africa and forward Francis Doe of Al Ahly of Egypt will touch base today (yesterday).”

CSK Moscow midfielders Sekou Jabateh and Isaac Pupo of Panionios GSS of Greece, and defender Solomon Grimes of Ethnikos Piraeus of Greece were also due last night.

He added: “The rest of the contingent members, midfielder Steve Mennoh of Persipasi Bekasi of Indonesia and Striker Dioh Williams of FC Alania Vladikavkaz of Russia (on loan from AGF of Denmark) will touch down on Wednesday (today).”
