Jamaican R&B and reggae fusion duo Nyanda and Nailah Thorbourne, aka Brick and Lace – currently in the country ahead of their Saturday show – had to be moved from the Rainbow Towers to Meikles Hotel as the former had no water.
The sisters felt the hotel’s services were generally sub-standard.
Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) chief executive Karikoga Kaseke confirmed the development and said he would get to the bottom of the problem.
The girls however said they had no hard feelings against the hotel, but were concentrating on their upcoming show in Mutare tomorrow and in Harare on Saturday night.
“We are entertainers so this is not new to us. We have faced such problems in hotels in other countries,” said Nailah.
Brick and Lace — famed for their international chart-topping hits Love is Wicked, Bad to the Bone and Repent — were brought into the country by the Youth Tourism Network with the help of the ZTA.
