Chinjekure Enterprises, a Mutare-based transport operator, has taken over Senatar Private Limited and Falcon Properties from Bulawayo-based entrepreneur, Andre Zietsman, in a deal that was finalised on Monday.
The acquisition gave Chinjekure Enterprises 100% control of the two Bulawayo-based bus companies, making it one of the biggest public transporters in Zimbabwe.
Under the deal, Chinjekure Enterprises takes over the transport company, its immovable and movable assets, as well as the human resources.
The Mutare-based transporter has also acquired the company’s complex along Plumtree Road in Bulawayo, including a terminus, butchery and supermarket.
The company has also taken over offices in Victoria Falls and at South Africa Park Station in Johannesburg and Grey’s Service Station and a storage house in Bulawayo.
Prior to its acquisition, Senatar had a fleet of 10, 72-seater buses, 10 trucks, eight minibuses, 17 trailers, 22 bushmen trailers, 14 private vehicles as well as earthmoving equipment.
