A Rudo Neshamba hat-trick propelled Bulawayo Province into the National Youth Games girls soccer final after humiliating Mashonaland West Province 6 – 0 in Thursday’s semi-final match at Allan Wilson School.
In their road to the finals, Bulawayo Province girls walloped Manicaland 9 – 0, Matabeleland 10 – 0 before beating Matabeleland South 3 – 0.
Neshamba netted 14 goals in the process to top the goal-scorers chart.
The Judith Lunga-coached side will now meet Harare Province who humbled Mashonaland West Province 9 – 0 in another semi-final that was played at the same venue yesterday. The final will be played today at Rufaro.
In the boys semi-finals, Matabeleland North beat Masvingo 1-0 and will now meet Bulawayo who beat Manicaland 5-4 after a penalty shootout.
The game had ended 1-1 in regulation time.
In netball, defending champions Masvingo will meet Harare in the final after dispatching Mashonaland Central 30 – 10 in the semis.
Harare beat Mashonaland East 29 – 10.
Meanwhile, Harare were still leading the medal count on day four of the competition.
