Dynamos put up yet another lifeless performance to pick up a point against Kiglon in a goalless draw in a Premier Soccer League match at Rufaro Stadium yesterday as a group of angry DeMbare fans had to be dispersed by riot police after the game.
Shouting all kinds of obscenities, the fans blocked the main entrance to the stadium, stopping and searching every car coming out of the stadium in apparent search for coach Elvis Chiweshe.
The Dynamos gaffer has come under increasing pressure after back-to-back defeats at the hands of Motor Action in the league, Democratic Republic of Congo’s TP Mazembe and Esperance of Tunisia in the Champions League.
Chiweshe got a lifeline when his charges managed a one-nil victory over Hwange in the BancABC quarter-finals four days ago, but it is his team’s performance yesterday that left Dynamos supporters livid.
With the draw, Dynamos remained second with 25 points, one behind leaders Motor Action while Kiglon moved one place up into 10th position with 12 points.
