Old Hararians, Sports club collide

Log leaders Harare Sports Club will be aiming to complete a memorable double over their bitter rivals Old Hararians when the two giants clash at Harare Sports Club in a rugby match this afternoon.

The match kicks off at 1645hrs and will be the main attraction as the league reaches the second half of the season.

What makes this encounter more intriguing is that Harare Sports Club are coming into this match with a seven matches unbeaten run.

On the other hand, coach Bongayi Zamchiya’s Old Hararians, who are in fourth place with 18 points, appear to be struggling of late.

Zamchiya has built his team around young internationals like Charles Jiji, Takudzwa Mandiwanza, Colin George, Brian Makamure and a host of other upcoming youngsters.

On the other hand, Harare Sports Club will be counting on the exploits of skipper Shingi Mpofu, fullback Paul Jessub, and the league’s top scorer Rangarirai Zimbowa.
