Hwange furious over Dynamos ‘special’ treatment in player wrangle

Hwange has come out guns blazing at Zifa and the Premier Soccer League (PSL) for treating Dynamos with kid gloves in a player wrangle between the two clubs.
The player under dispute is Farai Vimisayi.
In a telephone interview, Burzil Dube, the club’s secretary, said the country’s football administrators are afraid of Dynamos after the Harare giants defied a directive from Hwange not to use the player in their Caf Orange Champions the league second game against Esperance of Tunisia last Sunday.
Despite assuring Hwange that they would no travel with Vimisayi earlier in the week, Dynamos coach Elvis Chiweshe shifted goal posts and included the player in his travelling squad and even named him in the starting line-up.
Said Dube: “The problem we have in this country is that the football administrators are afraid to take action, they are afraid of Dynamos.
“Dynamos can get away with anything; they are always treated with kid gloves.”
Dube said his team two weeks ago wrote to both Zifa and the PSL complaining that Dynamos were illegally using their player but they have not responded or instructed Dynamos to stop using the player.
He said this has made Dynamos so stubborn that they continue to use the player in their Caf games despite incessant complaints from Hwange. In their Caf opening game against TP Mazembe a fortnight ago, the Harare giants included the player despite not reaching a deal with Hwange.
“Dynamos have protection from football administrators that is the reason they are so stubborn.
“They haven’t paid even a half cent for the player so they don’t have any right to use our player,” fumed Dube.
Dube added that such favouritism of one club over the other by soccer administrators in the country only helps in tarnishing the image of the local game.
Dynamos are also protracted in a player wrangle with Chapungu over striker Cuthbert Malajila. Chapungu withdrew Malajila’s services after Dynamos failed to pay the loan fee they were demanding.
Dynamos seemed to have heeded the directive and did not include the player in their Caf opening game against TP Mazembe at the National Sports Stadium. However, Dynamos took a surprising u-turn and included the player in the team that played Esperance.
