Big Brother Africa All–Stars roars to life

This year’s Big Brother Africa edition, scheduled to roar to life on July 18, will for the first time ever feature housemates who have participated in previous editions of the show.
The show — dubbed Big Brother All Stars —will see former 14 housemates from 14 African countries getting another chance to scoop $200 000 first prize money up for grabs.
Biola Alabi, M-Net Africa managing director, who revealed the news early this week, said the development was meant to give Big Brother fans another dose of the exciting show with their favourite housemates from previous years.
“We want to thank fans of the show for being so patient with us. We’re completely excited about this show and have wanted to announce the full names of the series for some time but given the logistics required on a show like this, we’ve waited until today (Monday) to announce the full title of the series: Big Brother All Stars,” Alabi said, adding that all the housemates were true stars of the Big Brother Africa story and they wanted to celebrate them.
Although the names of the participants will only be released on the day of the launch, local Big Brother fans have a short list of previous participants to choose from.
Tapuwa Mhere was a housemate in the maiden show but she is not likely to be called in as she is now beyond the participating age, neither is Bertha Zakeyo, who featured in the 2007 edition of the show.
This leaves only Munyaradzi Chidzonga, Itai Makumbe and Kristal Culverwell with a chance for another go at it.
MultiChoice Zimbabwe public relations and publicity manager. Elizabeth Dziva was upbeat about the show.
“With the stakes now raised, Big Brother All -Stars means that this season will be more strategic than ever before.
With all the housemates having played the game previously, they each come into the new season equipped with more insight and knowledge into the world of alliances, conspiracy and tactics.
What will happen? Who will survive? And how will they play? Only time will tell,” she said.
The All – Stars edition begins on DStv Channel 198 this coming Sunday and is set to feature some of the most unforgettable, outspoken, entertaining housemates of previous editions, but the identity of the housemates will be, remains to be seen.
