Eagles Club golfers tee off


Tomorrow, Eagles Golfers will be teeing off at one of the top golf courses, Ruwa Golf Resort from 8am.
Eagles has been growing from strength to strength in terms of the field and the support from sponsors. Simba Mabanja, the Eagles captain, promised all participants that Super Quick Panel beaters, who are the sponsors for this event, have lined up fantastic golf prizes.
The man to watch this weekend is Sydney Mashava, who chipped in an eagle at Chinhoyi Golf Course last month. Chairman James Mtizwa, whose game has been improving witheach outing is expected to give some of the favourites, Everson Nyabeze, Peter Katsamba, Bin Hassim, Rodwel Mabhiza, Cony Mashiri and Francis Tamburayi a good run.
With the coming back of the Long Drive National Championships which will be held in August at Wingate, the longest hitters, Dudzai Mabhiza, Tich Chivonivoni, Ernest Chisi, Arnold Nhepera and Darren Mutengwa are expected to show off their swings.
On Sunday, Chapman hosts the Chapman Grand Slam. Top amateur golfers from all golf clubs will compete in a 36-holes one-day event. Each club will field a four ball for gross and a net team. We hope to bring you the results next week.
