Sibanda to captain Zim XI in Netherlands, Canada tour

Vusimuzi Sibanda will skipper the Zimbabwe A team in the squad’s tour to Netherlands and Canada in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Intercontinental Cup next month.
“It is a good thing to have such a responsibility especially when you have a good bunch with the right spirit to work with,” said Sibanda.
The team will be under the watchful eye of coach Stephen Mangongo, assisted by Andy Waller and Heath Streak as the bowling coach.
“It does not really matter who we play against in the next matches, we will not be intimidated by any team on field so long as we stick to the game plan and perform our role. Cricket in Zimbabwe is drastically climbing the ladder and we will make use of experienced coaches and senior players in the squad.”
“It will have to be a case of clinical efficiency especially in everything that we do and we are still in a comfortable position because we have not yet lost a match and still have the most game s in hand,” said the right-handed opener.
Zimbabwe sits in fourth with 23 points in the tournament after winning a game and drawing one due weather interruptions.
“We are really looking forward to the tour, it will be easy to gel as a team because we all play first class cricket with or against each other at domestic level.
