World Cup golf tourney tees off

Chapman Golf Club will today host a Charity Golf World Cup organised by the British Embassy.
Over 30 teams including players from Serbia, Japan, Zambia, China, Australia, Scotland, Austria and Zimbabwe will battle for honours.
Teams are drawn from the diplomatic and business community. After the tournament, a charity auction for sports memorabilia, holiday vouchers and wine will take place.Proceeds will be channelled towards rural education. Mpumelelo Secondary School in Nkayi are the beneficiaries. Deputy head of mission at the British Embassy Tim Cole, a former teacher at the school, said he was looking forward to doing something for the school now that he was back in the country as a diplomat.
“I used to be a teacher at the school from 1990-91 so I felt encouraged to do something for the school since my return to the country as a diplomat,” said Cole.
