‘I’m not taking Malajila’—Mhofu

Former Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa said he is not in the country to snatch Dynamos striker Cuthbert Malajila.
Chidzambwa is now at South African premiership side Free State Stars where Zimbabwean players Kingstone Nkatha and James Matola are also plying their trade.
Speaking for the first time since the reports surfaced last week, Chidzambwa said he was surprised by the reports.
“I came home because there is a season break in South Africa,” said Chidzambwa.
“ I’m on leave. I have no intention to sign Malajila. People are saying I came here to sign Malajila but that is not true.”
Chidzambwa is still a director with the Harare giants.Malajila, who is on a season’s loan to Dynamos from Chapungu, missed Zimbabwe’s clash with Brazil before the start of the World Cup after travelling to South Africa.
The speculation that he had travelled to Free State Stars came after he missed the high profile match and Warriors team manager Sharrif Mussa confirmed at that time that the Dembare hitman had indeed travelled to South Africa.
Coincidentally, Malajila’s local agent Gibson Mahachi is the same representative for Chidzambwa. Mahachi was unavailable for comment.
