MSU student faces expulsion


A Midlands State University student representative faces expulsion for allegedly inciting other students to engage in violent demonstrations using the Ukrainian ‘Orange Revolution’ style.

Obert Masaraure, a final year chemical technology student has already been suspended pending a disciplinary hearing.

University vice-chancellor, Professor Ngwabi Bhebe charges that, it is this group allegedly led by Masaraure, that distributed placards threatening the university’s deputy registrar (Academic) a Mr Taguta and posters inciting students to demonstrate against what it called “satanic fees, an unpalatable plate of sadza and astronomic rentals”.
