Harare Polytechnic remains defiant and unmoved on its position to withhold student results until outstanding $600 balances are settled.
“We understand the problems students are going through but this is a ministerial obligation,” said Polytech Principal Stephen Raza.
However, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Higher and tertiary education Washington Mbizvo last week said it would be unfair to demand such high fees.
“The future must not be put on hold because of money.
Students must pay what they have and get results and make arrangements on how to settle outstanding balances,” said Mbizvo.
