Dynamos and Hwange have agreed on the transfer fee for the player and what remains is just the personal terms.

Hwange are representing the player. Hwange secretary Burzil Dube was in the capital yesterday to finalise talks with Dynamos.

Dube emerged from the meeting with Dynamos vice-chairman Webster Chikengezha to announce that they had agreed a figure for the transfer of the player.

“I can confirm that we have agreed on the transfer fee for the player.

“I am just coming from a meeting with the Dynamos vice-chairman Webster Chikengezha. The transfer fee has been agreed on, but I can’t reveal it because it is confidential. What is just left are the personal terms for the player. The deal is almost done. He should be joining Dynamos any time from now.

“But let me make it clear that Zikumbawire is not being represented by an agent.

“We are representing him as a club and everything we do should be in the best interest of the player,” Dube said.

Although Dube could not divulge the transfer fee agreed on, an informed source said the two parties settled on $20 000 for a season’s loan.

Dynamos chairman Keni Mubaiwa confirmed they had agreed on the transfer fee for the player, but could also not divulge the transfer fee.

Dynamos have been paying an average of $5 000 to sign players for this season, which was not enough to attract good players. Last week they were beaten to the signature of former Hwange defender Aaron Katebe by rivals FC Platinum despite the player having shown interest to join the club.

It’s also one of the reasons why they failed to land such players as Golden Boot winner Nelson Maziwisa who scored an incredible 18 goals last season for Shabanie Mine, and Platinum’s Donald Ngoma.
