The new gospel offering is a combination of jazz and pop music that focuses on love, life and nature.

“This album is for everybody, not only Christians. It is an inspirational compilation for people of different races and tribes to look at life in positive ways,” Ishe said.

The 10-track album includes sweet melodies like Mwari WeMinana, Walk with You, Goho Guru; Draw me Closer, You Are Good, I Love You, Inyasha and In You, among other songs.

His music comes in English and Shona and he works together with a nine-piece band called Generation Now.

“After being kicked out of a hockey team for not affording a hockey stick in high school, I decided to learn the guitar. Now I see that it was a blessing in disguise because I discovered my true passion and love for music,” he said.

His band members are a blend of people from different countries including South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Botswana and Zimbabwe and together they have so far performed locally in Swaziland, Lesotho and locally.

Ishe said he has planned live shows and he is hoping to make an impact in the lives of various people throughout the continent.

“I see so much growth in our local music industry and the more we unite, the more we will grow. I hope to soon collaborate with some celebrated local artistes like Dudu Manhenga and Pastor G,” he said.

At Monash University, he joined the Christian Society and became part of the worship band.

He has been writing his own music and recently produced an album following graduation at the university.

The album talks about his journey through life; his experiences, thoughts and emotions.
